Download Servonaut
Get the Servonaut app: try the desktop preview on Linux, or install it with pipx on Linux, macOS or Windows and run it in your terminal. Both are the same app, with the same screens and keys.
Desktop app (preview)
Linux only for now: Ubuntu on 64-bit x86 (amd64). On macOS or Windows, install Servonaut with pipx instead.
Install
apt installs the package and the system libraries it needs:
sudo apt install ./servonaut-desktop-preview_2.29.0_amd64.deb
Then start Servonaut from your applications menu, or run
servonaut-desktop. Your configuration in ~/.servonaut/
is shared with a pipx install.
Check the download
Save servonaut-desktop-preview_2.29.0_SHA256SUMS from GitHub next to the package, then:
sha256sum -c servonaut-desktop-preview_2.29.0_SHA256SUMS
To confirm it was built by Servonaut's release workflow (GitHub CLI 2.67 or later):
gh attestation verify servonaut-desktop-preview_2.29.0_amd64.deb --repo zb-ss/servonaut
Updates
The preview does not update itself yet. To upgrade, download the newer package and
install it the same way. sudo apt remove servonaut removes it and keeps
your configuration.
Servonaut app with pipx
One install gives you the Servonaut app in your terminal, the CLI commands for scripts and CI, and the MCP server for AI agents. Needs Python 3.10 or later.
Install
pipx install servonaut
Then run servonaut to start the app.
Or use the installer
Linux and macOS:
curl -sSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/zb-ss/servonaut/master/install.sh | bash
Windows (PowerShell):
irm https://raw.githubusercontent.com/zb-ss/servonaut/master/install.ps1 | iex
Extras, upgrades and troubleshooting are in the installation guide.
